OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today advised the State Board of Health to convene a special meeting to amend the rules it passed regulating medical marijuana.
Attorney General Hunter said his advice is faithful to and in accordance with the new law created when Oklahomans voted in favor of State Question 788.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today sent a letter in response to Oklahoma Department of Health Interim Commissioner Tom Bates, saying his office will review the legal challenges to the agency’s rules on State Question 788.
The attorney general’s response comes after a letter from Bates requested counsel from the Attorney General’s Office on ‘how best to proceed with the defense of this action’.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter announced a Guthrie man has pleaded guilty to a host of charges filed by his office in April 2017 that include aggravated possession of child pornography.
At sentencing in September, Enrique Segura faces up to life in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of aggravated child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of violating the computer crimes act.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today released the following statement on Administrative Law Judge Mary Candler’s recommendation that Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) pass the savings from the federal income tax cut to its customers.
The recommendation was released in the case the Attorney General’s Office filed in December, requesting the Oklahoma Corporation Commission ensure tax savings are passed on to PSO’s customers.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter today announced a Midwest City doctor who was charged with five counts of second-degree murder has been bound over to stand trial.
Last June, Attorney General Hunter charged Dr. Regan Nichols with five counts of second-degree murder for the deaths of at least five of her patients while she was working as an osteopathic physician at a Midwest City clinic.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter commended a federal judge for dismissing a lawsuit filed by two California cities targeting numerous energy and manufacturing companies over creating a public nuisance.
In the lawsuit, the cities of San Francisco and Oakland claimed that the companies make and sell products that when combusted, create a “public nuisance.” The cities sought payment from the companies for the all the hypothetical future impacts of climate change.
