Attorney General Hunter Announces Guilty Plea in Child Pornography Case

Original charges filed by the Attorney General’s Office in 2017

OKLAHOMA CITY – Attorney General Mike Hunter announced a Guthrie man has pleaded guilty to a host of charges filed by his office in April 2017 that include aggravated possession of child pornography.

At sentencing in September, Enrique Segura faces up to life in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of aggravated child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of violating the computer crimes act.

An undercover investigation by the Attorney General’s Office, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and Guthrie Police Department led to the original charges.

Investigators found Segura in possession of over 10,000 videos and images of suspected child pornography, including over 1,800 images and videos of known underage victims. Images and videos depicted abuse of male victims as young as infants and toddlers.

Attorney General Hunter applauded the efforts of agents, officers and attorneys with his office, the OSBI and Guthrie Police Department for conducting the undercover investigation that led to the charges and plea.

“Crimes against children are abhorrent and despicable and receive zero tolerance from this office,” Attorney General Hunter said. “I appreciate the work put into this case by individuals in my office as well as the OSBI and Guthrie Police Department, who successfully collaborated to hold this individual accountable for his disturbing actions. We remain committed to working with our law enforcement partners to ensure individuals who engage in this reprehensible conduct are put away so they cannot prey on innocent children.”
