OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 6, 2024) -- A Biden administration pause on the export of liquified natural gas (LNG) will embolden Iran and Russia and hamper the U.S.’s ability to protect itself, according to a letter penned by Attorney General Gentner Drummond and several state attorneys general.
In a letter today to President Biden and the U.S. Department of Energy, Drummond and 22 attorneys general said the pause is unlawful, damaging to the economy and harmful to national security.
OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 1, 2024) - Attorney General Gentner Drummond and 25 other attorneys general are asking U.S. Congressional leadership to defund the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) due to its ties to terrorism.
In a letter today, the multi-state coalition outlined UNRWA’s role in diverting money intended for education and civil works to material support for kidnapping, torture and murder.
OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 30, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond and Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) Executive Director Steven Harpe today filed a joint motion asking the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals to schedule the next phase of executions at 90-day intervals in what will be the final request for adjustments to the execution schedule.
There are six convicted murderers due to be executed who would be impacted: Richard Norman Rojem, Emmanuel Littlejohn, Kevin Ray Underwood, Wendell Arden Grissom, Tremane Wood and Kendrick Antonio Simpson.

OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 22, 2024) – Attorney General Gentner Drummond said he is pleased the U.S. Supreme Court has announced it will hear the case of Oklahoma death row inmate Richard Glossip. Drummond had supported Glossip’s July 2023 petition to the high court for a writ of certiorari to hear the case.
As the state’s chief law enforcement officer, Drummond has contended Glossip’s conviction for the 1997 murder of Barry Van Treese should be vacated and remanded back to district court amid revelations of false testimony by the prosecution’s key witness.
